GIP is a 1,500,000 square foot industrial park located 1 mile from interstate from I-59 in Gadsden, Alabama. The site is about 60 miles north of Birmingham, Alabama on interstate 59 and about 72 miles southeast Huntsville, Alabama. The industrial park has industrial utilities, overhead cranes, high bay ceilings and concrete floors. The facility has truck and rail scales, rail service and railcar storage that is provided by CSX and Norfolk and Southern. Zoning allows for warehousing, light and heavy manufacturing. The facility resides in an Alabama enterprise zone, which enables prospective tenants to take advantage of state and municipal support programs.
Gadsden Industrial Park’s railcar service consists of 18 miles of railcar track that has recently been rebuilt. There are several locomotives are on-site to do switching. Certain rail spurs can handle full railcars as well as empty rail cars. Hazerdous railcar materials are also considered under certain circumstances. Transloading services are available. The industrial park has cranes with lifts up to 200 tons.
The industrial park also has 42,500 square feet of office space for lease in two office buildings located at the front of the park. A single story modern office building and a two-story brick office building can accommodate general office needs.
